It's their most recent song/video... after a 10 year hiatus X Japan reformed last year, although they are physically short of one member - hide (Hideto Matsumoto), who tragically passed away in 1998. But being deceased doesn't seem to stop hide from being involved! And you're right - he always had the attitude and was an amazing solo artist in his own right.

So yeah... the members of X Japan are rock veterans but it's amazing how little they've aged (of course hide will remain forever young ). Yoshiki's 42 I believe... *Yoda voice* when his age I reach, look as good I hope I will!

Yesyesyes! Yo-sama is porn on drums! And seeing him on piano just melts me. He's been described as a "Demon on the drums and Princess on the piano", which I think is a really good way of summing him up!

I know... the loss of hide (his name was always written in lower case for some reason... just artistic, I guess) came as a massive shock when it happened. To say people were gutted is an understatement and a half... a fanatical few even committed suicide when they found out. On a lighter note there was a massive tribute gig event earlier this year since it's been 10 years since hide passed away. X and many other massive Japanese bands performed at the hide Memorial Summit to celebrate hide's life and music. It was awesome... and X even got a hologram of him projected onstage at their reunion gigs!
My first ever deviation here was a piece of hide tribute art, funnily enough. And only in Japan could plushies of a deceased musician be considered a cool idea. XD Yes, I have a collection of hide plushies and chibi toy figures... [link] [link] Ahem. They rock and radiate pure attitude, just like the original hide!

LOL, likewise it's nice to know of fellas who can appreciate the finer points of bishies, J-rockers and yaoi! Sadly I'm still a dribbling fangirl, despite being 'mature'. XDDD I'm just not the loud, squealy "OMFGHOTNESSWAAAAAAI!!!" type. I'd say I'm more of a "Stealthy Queen of Internet Predators"...
