Talos' Story

Note: This is not necessarily 100% of what was decided by the game's story writers regarding Talos' background. I'm working with hazy recollections of plot devices that were discussed during the game's development, and I’m doing my best to fill in the gaps as I see them (with a little bit of my own artistic licence, of course ;) ). I cannot remember whether Tal's brother was given a name or not and so I've chosen to refer to him as 'Darus' in my fic.

Tockr's Tower - Twilightby ~Niki-UK

A mysterious clock tower overlooks a remote European village in the mountains. Here resides Tockr, Guardian of Time.

Tockr is misunderstood by those in the village; they all assume he is a vampire because of his bat-like qualities. The villagers keep their distance and tell their children, "Never go near that tower - evil lives there!"
Unbeknownst to them however, Tockr is no vampire and he doesn't have an evil bone in his body. He is actually part fruit-bat! This flying fox boy doesn't know his age or how he came to be at the Tower... every day is a learning experience for him. He has discovered that he has strange powers - of course he can fly, but it also seems he can control time.

Whenever danger threatens the local peace, Tockr feels it is his duty to protect everyone around him (despite the fact that none of them seem to appreciate that he is really on their side). The villagers are blissfully unaware of the epic battles that Tockr regularly fights on their behalf.

Tockr's time-shifting abilities are at their strongest when he is in the Tower, as it seems to be his primary power source. The Tower's clock acts as an energy centre which Tockr can harness in order to to travel to any point in time. Away from the tower, Tockr can use his pocket watch (which he keeps in his hat) to slow time down or speed it up.

Although Tockr is in no way evil, he does have a cunning, mischievous side. A fruit bat needs his fruit, so Tockr will often sneak into the village and treat himself to the fruity delicacies available at the market square. He uses his pocket watch to slow time down almost to a complete stop, then stock up on fruit from the stalls - much to the befuddlement of the market stall holders who see their apples and pears disappearing before their very eyes! Tockr doesn't like the idea of being a thief though, so in return he will often leave the villagers little trinkets as compensation; sometimes time-pieces that he has hand-made, or cogs and other clock parts made of precious metal.

I think I like this one better than the other, the lightened sky makes him stand out much more.
Your storyline here is absolutely adorable, as is your character design
