Here is some of my development art for Talos, a character from the game Sudeki for the X-Box, released by Microsoft.
Having looked around the net, I've noticed there's very little Talos imagery around so here's an opportunity to get a better look at him. ;)
These drawings were all done straight into biro/ballpint pen apart from the rightmost one - a more final drawing which was done in pencils. The red lines are the initial sketch lines which were later removed digitally for the tidiest result. I left them in here so you can see how the drawing was worked up.

Very nice!

The pic on the left makes him look suitably psychotic. The wide-staring eyes make me think he's not a good guy... He looks sort of like Zabuza from Naruto.

Oh yeah, he's one twisted psycho, this one! :D Very much one of Sudeki's primary villains. I wanted him to look really disturbing and there are elements about him which are quite Hellraiser-inspired; you might notice he's got a bit of a pain fetish/self-mutilation thing going on. Pretty icky, really... ^^; He's definitely not to be messed with!

Very nice concepts=D. The only thing I didn't get was was he undeaed or was it just his skins pigmentation?

EEEEEEEEEeeeeeee... Talos was my *second* favourite character.. I loved his design.. so... ninja-y and badass. All those spikey cool things.... He was t3h awesome when he got onto your party and... And man was he an ass to beat in the end.

He's not so much undead as just very unhealthy, hehe! He comes from the Shadow Realm and not many people there tend to have a very nice complexion... ^^;

Ah, that design's from the older days of the project. Like all of the main characters Talos went through lots of design changes before his look was finalised. First (back when the characters were all cute and chibified) he was all in black leather and buckles with BIG pink hair and freaky white eyes... the next major stage was how he looked in the pic you found; he got a mask and was wearing traditional Japanese-inspired clothing. The one I've posted is his final iteration as seen in the finished game. He always was a badass mo'-fo no matter what though! ;)

Actually, might have to scratch my previous comment... Talos could be undead after all! I've had a good think about this one, and the thing is: though I may have designed him I wasn't responsible for all of his background story. From what I can gather the final Sudeki game left quite a few questions unanswered, particularly regarding Lord Talos' background. Now I can't say for sure since I don't know what the final deal was story-wise, but I remember there was talk about Talos actually being Tal's brother (the one who was supposedly killed in active military service alongside Tal when he was younger; an event which General Arlo always blamed Tal for). I think it could be that Talos was somehow resurrected in the Shadow Realm, perhaps by the demon god Heigou himself... which would make him undead, I guess! :D

I can't help but wonder if Queen Lusica had something kinky going on with the guy... *shudder* Eww, I need to clean my brain out now... that's just too many kinds of wrong!! :lmao:
