For me this has been a labour of love, despite the fact that it's just a sketchy pencil drawing. Primarily done as something to amuse myself and my husband (and also to keep my drawing muscles well flexed), I wanted to attempt a representation of Doctors Eight and Ten... we're talking Doctor Who again, in case you hadn't guessed.

On the left is David Tennant as the Tenth Doctor and on the right we have Paul McGann as the Eighth. Chris and I are huge Eight fans~
Tonight I was determined to draw these two crossing paths for some reason, and this is what came out. I didn't want Ten to be flashing a cheeky smile at his earlier regeneration; I decided to give him a more enigmatic expression. I think Ten's fun, silly side is mostly a front for his human companions. Such a facade would be superfluous if he was effectively facing himself, at least that's what I figure. Since Eight was the regeneration that lived during the Time Wars (dark, dark times), seeing him would probably hit Ten with mixed emotions. Yet, we see Eight here whimsically offering Ten a jelly baby from a little paper bag. So, in a nutshell... all's right with the world!

Note for the slash fans... yes, of course my brain goes there.

Oh, and that's the classic style TARDIS key in Eight's left hand, by the way... not the dumb Yale key they have these days! Tch!
The faint symbol in the background is the Seal of Rassilon, associated with Gallifrey (the Doctor's home planet) and the Time Lords.
