Is this an actually band, or is it a manga/anime character? Either way, very well-drawn.

Huh. Looks like a band a friend of mine will be interested in.
Not bad playing.

*gasp* OMGHERMANLI!
You drew him...meaning you officially rock at life...meaning I don't know.
The guitar and the pose and the face and the run-on sentence...
Heheh, Sweet! Dragonforce is one of the most awesome bands ever...so far off the deep end of cheesy that they make a full circle back to amazingly cool. That and Herman Li is one of the most amazing guitarists I've ever heard.
On an artistic scale, I really love how detailed his hair is and how beautifully you caught the light reflections off of that glorious raven mane of his. His Ibanez looks great too. You caught the thin shape of the S series dead on, as well as the Wizard 2 headstock. Even the position of his fingers on the fretboard and the pick in his hand....you paid some serious attention to detail here, and it paid off. This looks tremendous ^_^ +fav
P.S. Not sure if you've seen it or not, but Dragonforce has a shirt where they're all anime characters on the front. It's pretty cool

I support it loud, I support it fast and I support it brutal. May the love of TRUE Heavy fookin' Metal never die!
I can see it in their eyes...they've already died inside, but as for the outside, we'll take their fucking heads!
Wow, thanks!!
I'm so glad all the little details added to your enjoyment of the piece... as you can probably gather, I'm a bit of a guitar nut. I don't really consider myself a guitarist although I do attempt to play (just for my own amusement really). If nothing else, it does help my rendering of guitars and guitarist poses.
Mr. Li really is a 21st century guitar legend... or at least he ruddy well should be.
Oh yeah, I think I know the image you mean of Dragonforce as anime characters. The lady who drew that used to work for Sega, I believe. Coolness-in-a-bun.
That's pretty damn cool that she used to work for Sega. I just got the shirt with that imprint today (So happy)
Keep with the playing man! I've been playing for three years...still trying to get the sweeping arpeggios for Valley of the Damned solo, but oh well. It's one of my favorite pass-times, and if you continue, I'm sure it'll be among one of yours as well. Checked out the rest of your gallery too. You've got some wicked cool artwork ^_^
